Your account

You must provide accurate information, keep your login credentials confidential, and be at least 18 years old to hold an account. You are responsible for activity carried out under your account.

Your content

You keep ownership of everything you place in your vault. You grant us only the limited permission needed to store, back up and make your content available in line with your instructions and these terms. You are responsible for having the right to upload the content you add.

Acceptable use

You must not use Legacy Lock unlawfully, upload malicious code, or store content that is unlawful or infringes another person's rights. See our Acceptable Use Policy for detail.

Subscriptions and payments

The basic version is free. Advanced subscriptions and storage top-ups are billed in advance through our payment provider, or through Apple or Google in-app purchase where bought inside the apps. Prices shown before launch are provisional. You may cancel at any time; access to paid features ends at the close of the paid period.

Availability and storage

We aim to provide a reliable service but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and we do not guarantee permanent or indefinite storage. Please keep your own copies of anything irreplaceable, and keep original legal documents safe.

Access after death

Access by others after your death is handled only through our Death/Access Procedure. Information is never released automatically to anyone merely claiming to be a relative.

Liability

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited. Otherwise, our liability is limited to the amount you have paid us in the twelve months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.

Changes, suspension and termination

We may update these terms and will notify you of material changes. We may suspend or end an account for serious or repeated breach. You may close your account and delete your data at any time.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere, this does not remove protections you have under your local consumer law.
